Dear SAUFF members,
I would like to say goodbye to all the SAUFF members I have been in contact with over the years – it has been an amazing and crazy journey ;)
Lauren Staats will soon be taking over the administration for SAUFF.
Please continue to support SAUFF…I promise, we are here for all spearo’s, working behind the scenes to keep the sport alive.  SAUFF is a necessity within the sporting and recreational organogram starting with SASCOC.
Dive safe!

Congratulations Amber Fillary!

Dear SAFF Members,
Please join me in congratulating Amber Fillary in being awarded her Protea colours.
Amber has been participating in the AIDA world championships 2016, in Turku, Finland.
She spent months dedicating her time in preparation for this competition. She funded herself and travelled without a team or coach to Finland to reach her dream. This is very brave indeed.
Our blood is green & we all support you Amber, on this outstanding achievement. Please show her your support by sending her a personal message of congratulations, whether you personally know her or not. We are very proud of you and this huge achievement.
Thank you to William Pake for putting Amber’s name forward for Protea Colours. For doing the motivation & for filling in all the paperwork, which led to her colours being approved with SASCOC.

We look forward to seeing more freedivers being presented with Protea Colours in the future.

Kind Regards,

Janet Mangold

(President SAFF)

SAUSF Hosted the first ever South African Finswimming gala this March 2012 at the Joan Harrison Swimming Pool in East London. The gala was held during the recent SA Junior Nationals Underwater Hockey Tournament with swimmers from all provinces taking part. The winners of each heat were awarded a beautiful trophy for them to remember this historical moment.

All credit to Mr.William Pake, President of the SA Underwater Sports federation, for making this event possible.
